Reality TV star and British Judo hope Ashley McKenzie suffered a tearful early exit at the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday morning.
McKenzie, 32, has appeared on TV shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Ex on the Beach in the past.
But he probably won't want to re-watch his most recent performance on the small screen after suffering a first round loss in the men's -60kg this morning.
McKenzie was eliminated by Azerbaijani Karamat Huseynov at the Nippon Budokan, meaning Team GB's one and only judoka is heading home.
And the Brit was left in tears as he apologised to his family and supporters back home.
On the verge of tears, McKenzie said: “At the moment, I’m mostly sad.
“I’ve put in a lot of work for this one tournament.
“Loads of things went wrong when I got over here, and I just pushed them aside and I tried to not let them affect me due to Covid and stuff like that.
“I’m strongly sorry for the people that put so much energy into me.
“My mum, a lot of the ones that love me — it just hurts to see that they’ve probably woken up to watch me.
“And I had one fight, and it didn’t go the way I wanted it to. I just want to go home.”
McKenzie fared better during his Big Brother stint, making it to the final on the 10th series, finishing fifth back in 2012.
Last year he featured in the 11th series of Ex on the Beach UK.
And McKenzie has also popped up on Eating with my Ex.
His 2016 Olympic performance in Rio saw the Judo veteran finish ninth for his country.
