Kickboxer flops out of ring after being knocked out cold by brutal kick to face

A kickboxer knocked out cold by a brutal kick to the face flopped out of the ring after being left unconscious by their opponent.

Footage of the knockout has been posted on social media showing fighter Khalil Ahmad finishing his opponent with a stunning head kick after stunning them with a punch. The unconscious fighter then falls back towards the ropes before falling out of the ring and sliding head-first towards the floor.

Concerned onlookers can be seen quickly rushing to catch the beaten fighter, with the referee stepping across Ahmad to wave off the fight before he is declared the winner.

Ahmad's gym, Team Shogun Lebanon, have also posted an alternate angle of the knockout, congratulating their fighter on his vicious victory.

In an Instagram post, they wrote: "Congratulations to our champ Khalil Ahmad on his crazy K.O win yesterday at Tyr fight night. Nothing but respect to his opponent. Fighters safety always comes first. He’s completely fine, that’s what really matters."

Ahmad also reposted footage from the fight himself, sharing Muay Thai Bible's post and writing: "Thanks for supporting", along with a praying and heart emoji.

Kickboxing fans were left in awe by Ahmad's head kick and took to the comments section to react to the knockout.

One fan wrote: "I wanna cry this is so beautiful…" Meanwhile, another added: "His soul left the body bro. Only left meat."

A third viewer made note of the referee's reactions and commented: "Shout out to the ref and the other guys protecting the fighter from completely falling out, respect."

Kickboxing fans have been treated to a host of explosive knockouts from fighters all around the world so far this year, including at an event in London back in April.

Moroccan fighter Said Kabil's vicious axe kick made his opponent "sleep standing up" and was labelled "KO of the year" after he left Gary Corbett unconscious on the floor of a blood-soaked ring.
