Laura Kenny and Katie Archibald won the first women’s madison race at the Tokyo Olympics during a dominant performance against rivals Denmark and the ROC who placed second and third. The victory means Mrs Kenny is now the first British woman to win three consecutive golds at three Olympic games as her total gold medal victories reaches five. The two women won 10 out of 12 of their sprints during a comfortable victory for the Olympians.
