Former tennis babe Ashley Harkleroad might not have conquered her sport on the court, but will always go down as a history maker off it.
The American proved a force to be reckoned with in her seven-year professional career, winning five ITF titles and breaking the world's top 40 in the summer of 2003. She also graced all four Grand Slam events, with third round appearances in both the Australian and French Open her best efforts.
In doubles, she reached the last eight at both Melbourne Park and Roland Garros, but it was August 2008 when she really hit the headlines. The 37-year-old became the first female tennis star to appear on the front cover of Playboy.

She revealed the news at Wimbledon, claiming she had taken inspiration from swimmer Amanda Beard who had done similar a year earlier. The saga divided opinion, but it didn't deter Harkleroad from showing off her bodily assets again at a later date.
Last year, the Georgia-born beauty delighted followers as she began posting adult content on OnlyFans. She joined a host of other female sports stars to have used the platform, including the likes of UFC star Paige VanZant and boxing sensation Ebanie Bridges, with subscription to her account costing £8 per month.
At the time of signing up, she claimed another first, believing she was the first former pro to take that career path. She said: "I’m the first Professional tennis player ever to be on the cover of Playboy and now on Onlyfans!"

Her Instagram account leaves little to the imagination either, with her 100,000 plus followers regularly treated to saucy snaps. But even prior to magazine and internet fame, Harkleroad's personal life had already been a source of media interest.
In December 2004, she married ATP pro Alex Bogomolov Jr, only for the couple to divorce within two years. She then started dating another former tennis player in Chuck Adams, and just after her Playboy shoot confirmed she was pregnant with his child.
The pair later married and had a second child, and each time after giving birth, Harkleroad resumed her career. When she did retire from the sport in 2012, she had a stint as a commentator on the Tennis Channel.
