‘World’s sexiest athlete’ told she’s perfect in new video that has fans purring

The ‘world’s sexiest athlete’ has been branded ‘perfect’ as she got autumn-ready with some snazzy outfits.

German runner Alica Schmidt, who represented her country at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest in the summer, is one of the most recognisable faces in her sport. Away from the track, the 24-year-old has a successful sideline in modelling.

And she impressed her 4.6million followers on Instagram by showing off an array of fetching outdoor outfits, including long coats, short coats and jackets. With Schmidt oozing style and class in the images, her legion of fans were eager to pile on the praise.

“Wow Alica, so beautiful,” crowed one. Another declared: “Beautiful! And that's not just the outfit I line.”

A third hailed: “Always perfect, chic and one of the most attractive and craziest women on Instagram.” Another said: Wow! Gorgeous as always. No one can avoid the BOSS.”

A fifth commented: “Pampering is a beautiful feature of beautiful girls, so pamper yourself because you are very beautiful.” A sixth fan lauded: “Impeccable taste, incredible style, a sea of femininity and unique charm.”

The blonde beauty was named on Forbes' coveted 30 under 30 list last year, with her colossal following on social media thanks in part to being crowned the ‘world's sexiest athlete’ by Australian magazine Busted Coverage in 2017.

However, it is not a label she is entirely comfortable with, previously admitting: "This title doesn't mean anything to me. It's based on a subjective opinion of someone else judging the appearance of a person. I like to think that beauty comes from the inside."

During the World Championships, she was asked by Norwegian media if she would fancy racing Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who is no slouch himself. Schmidt replied: “Ooo, I don't know – maybe. I think, on 400m, yes. But on 200m, it would be more difficult. But I would be happy if the race takes place any time."

The interview prompted: "When?" To which she responded: "I don't know, maybe I'll have to ask him that. But I'm always ready."

Schmidt then turned to the camera and officially called him out, saying: "Yeah so, Haaland, if you're ready to race, I would be happy. Let's see who's faster!”
