Conor McGregor’s coach mocks Tommy Fury as next opponent confirmed

Conor McGregor's coach John Kavanagh has mocked Tommy Fury over the choice of his next opponent – who has lost all 14 of his professional contests to date.

Fury, 22, is set to return to the ring for the sixth outing of his career on June 5 against 38-year-old Andy Bishop.

The younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has been calling out Jake Paul in recent weeks, insisting he would have no problem dealing with the YouTuber turned boxer.

First he must get past Bishop on the undercard of Daniel Dubois' clash with Bogdan Dinu, and when taking a look at his record that appears a foregone conclusion.

The journeyman has a miserable 0-14 record as a professional, suffering two knockout defeats and failing to earn a single victory.

Paul hit out at Fury's choice of opponent in a brutal video message directed to him and brother Tyson earlier this week, while joking that his bout is gaining little attention from the public.

And now Kavanagh has taken to Twitter to question the logic in matching Fury with Bishop.

McGregor's coach quote tweeted a post announcing the fight and wrote: "5-0 v 0-14? Really?".

Fury will hope to produce a comfortable win inside the distance and turn his attention back to a potential showdown with Paul in the near future.

He even recruited Tyson and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal to try and goad the YouTuber into the ring, with his brother posting a call-out video on social media earlier this week.

But Paul hit back in ruthless fashion and said: “The desperation is seeping through the pores of the Fury family. It’s quite embarrassing.

“The heavyweight champion of the world is on Instagram talking about Jake Paul begging me to fight his brother!

“Listen Tommy, focus on your fight in a couple of weeks that no one even knows about by the way, this clip will be the biggest promotion for your entire f****** fight.
