Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson have finally confirmed the date and location of their highly anticipated boxing match, set to be the heaviest boxing match in history.
Hall and Bjornsson have been training hard since the clash was announced late last year, and despite the lack of a confirmed date and venue, fans of the former strongmen were buzzing at the prospect of seeing the Beast and Thor settle their differences in the boxing ring.
Hall and Bjornsson have been embroiled in a bitter rivalry for several years, after the former Game of Thrones star won the 2018 World’s Strongest Man competition, one year after Hall captured the very same title.
The feud would continue after Bjornsson broke the world record in deadlifting, previously set at 500kg by Hall. Bjornsson’s record is widely disputed, as he completed the 501kg lift in his home gym, outside of a competitive event.
With the rivalry continuing years on from the deadlift debacle, there only ever seemed to be one way for the pair to settle their differences.
And now, Hall and Bjornsson have confirmed that their highly anticipated boxing match will take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Florida on September 18, just a few months away.

The arena is a 15,000 seat venue and previously played host to several of the UFC's comeback events last year, before the MMA promotion moved to 'Fight Island'.
Ticket sales for the event are set to be announced in the not-so-distant future and fans can already order the pay-per-view, currently set at £7.99.
When the event was first announced last year, Hall and Bjornsson shared their excitement about the contest and their partnership with promotional company MTK Global.
Hall claimed: “I’m training for this fight like I trained to be the strongest man in the world, no stone unturned and anyone in my way is getting milled down.
“With the experience MTK Global [the official boxing advisers to organisers Core Sports] brings to the table, this event will be even better than it was going to be.
“As for the fight itself, I have zero doubt in my mind that cry baby Thor is getting folded in half and sent packing back to Iceland.”
