Ebanie Bridges has predicted her upcoming fight with Bec Connolly will be another barnstormer and claimed she is “definitely going for the stoppage" against the 3-9 veteran.
Bridges is set to return to the ring this weekend on the undercard of Kid Galahad's clash with Jazza Dickens. Her clash with Connolly comes just four months after her gruelling WBA title fight against Shannon Courtenay that saw both women suffer a host of brutal injuries.
While Bridges entered the title fight as a heavy underdog, she performed well and showed off her impressive toughness in the later stages of the contest after suffering a heavily swollen eye in the ninth round.
Despite clearly coming off worse during the bout with Courtenay, Bridges recent claimed that she was relishing the opportunity to fight again and told the Mirror that she was expecting yet another bloodbath in the upcoming clash.
“Bec always comes out strong and fast, and I’m a bit similar,” said Bridges.
“I feel like it’s going to be a heated fight because we both like to get into a scrap, but I’m not going to get drawn into a firefight if I can just box her.

“I’m definitely going for the stoppage, and she’s not somebody who really gets stopped, particularly at 118 lbs which would be the lighter side.
“It would make a big impact because girls aren’t stopping her and they’re often fighting her without much of a camp at all, so I’m excited to test myself against her with proper preparation.
Ebanie Bridges is set to return to the ring this weekend against Britain’s Bec Connolly.
The bout will take place on the undercard of Matchroom Boxing’s second ‘Fight Camp’ event, held at the former home of the Hearn family.

The ‘Fight Camp’ card will also feature Fabio Wardley vs Nick Webb, Alen Babic vs Mark Bennett, and the return of Aqib Fiaz.
