Eddie Hall shows off power in frightening sparring footage with Lawrence Okolie

Eddie Hall showed off his incredible power in some terrifying sparring footage with British boxing cruiserweight Lawrence Okolie.

The former World’s Strongest Man will take on Icelandic rival Hafthor Bjornsson in what is being dubbed the “heaviest boxing match in history” this September.

It has seen the Brit turn the basement of his house into a massive gym, which also includes a nearly full-size boxing ring where celebrities have ben invited to train with him.

And the latest to drop by is Okolie, who has held the WBO cruiserweight belt since his March win against Krzysztof Glowacki, who took several big hits from the 33-year-old.

In the clip, the boxing star is wearing a punching suit and keeping Hall moving round the ring along with 19-year-old prospect Josh Middleton.

When they break it up with some punches, though, the former bodybuilder is left feeling the power of Hall’s first right-handed punch as he doubles back.

And it sees the 28-year-old, who has an unbeaten record from 16 fights, don a bigger punching suit to take Hall’s hits.

The Brit continues to land big combinations that constantly send Okolie backwards.

When the cruiserweight calls on Hall to up the power with a series of right-handed body shots, he replies by leaving the WBO champion out of breath.

And Okolie was bowled over by the bodybuilder’s form, saying after the session: “”I’m actually worried because I could feel that!

“Without a body bag, you’d really be feeling these shots. Those are ones you don’t take, you run. That’s the type of power you run from!”

He added later: "It’s scary, bro. I’m trying to soak it and stay there, but my body’s like no.

"I know the camera’s rolling and I want to stay there but I couldn’t.”

Hall has regularly shared clips of his training on YouTube, having set up the fight with Bjornsson following a feud over the World’s Strongest Man title from 2018.

But his rival, more famously known as Game of Thrones character Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane, has already fought in the ring against a professional boxer.
