Jake Paul enforcing sex ban with Julia Rose – it makes him better boxer

Jake Paul is enforcing a sex ban with girlfriend Julia Rose ahead of his rematch against Tyron Woodley as it makes him a better boxer.

Paul is facing off against ex-UFC champion Woodley for a second time after Tommy Fury pulled out of their bout due to a chest infection and broken rib.

The YouTuber won the first contest in August on a split decision, so should be confident heading into fight night.

What's more, he's been in training camp for a number of weeks.

And a key part of the 24-year-old's regime for his fifth professional fight has been not having sex.

Paul told Graham Bensinger : "It's different for each fighter.

"A lot of fighters are affected by it, including myself and I'm 100% sure [it's not all mental], I don't believe in placebo, I have to experience things for myself.

"I've only messed up on occasion once or twice because it's noticeably different, and I take more punishment in sparring if I do that.

"My coach BJ [Flores] will be like 'did you have sex last night?' And you can just tell without me saying anything."

Will the sex ban give Paul the edge against Woodley again? Let us know in the comments section.

Paul has been romantically engaged with Rose over the past couple of years, and she was ringside for the victory over Woodley in the summer.

The pair are often seen being frisky on social media, but the model will have been prevented from getting too close to the boxer as he gears up to defend his 4-0 unbeaten record.

Paul's coach Flores added: "He's not as good, he's not as quick or as fierce or aggressive.

"It's obvious to a guy who has been around boxing for 33 years so I see it very quickly and he always comes clean.

"Ancient warriors deprived themselves of certain things before they went to battle and it's important that Jake sacrifices and deprives himself of certain things before he goes into battle.

"If not having sex for a little while will make us half a per cent better, then I'll take it."
