Jake Paul left Nate Robinson sprawled out on the floor unconscious after a sickening knockout punch.

The YouTuber put the former NBA star down three times in their fight, which was taking place on the undercard of Mike Tyson's clash with Roy Jones Jr.

But the fight has been branded farcical with major concerns for Robinson's wellbeing after being allowed to continue.

Robinson needed urgent assistance after being left unconscious from the third knockdown.

He was able to sit up on a stool after spending a number of minutes on the floor, with serious concerns over his condition.

The referee had allowed the former basketball star to continue on two occasions, when it had appeared that he should have been counted out.

Former heavyweight world champion David Haye told BT Sport: "He got knocked out in the first round and he was on the floor for more than 10 seconds.

"He took another shot in the next round and the referee should have called it off.

"That was unecessary. As much as it is a good thing for Jake's highlight reel, it was not a good thing for Nate's head."

Former cruiserweight world champion Glenn McCrory added: "That is the sort of fight where someone gets hurt.

"He gives him all the chance in the world and the next time he's knocked out."

The fight was the latest between social media influencers after they became common theme in recent years.

Paul secured his second win, after beating fellow social media celeb AnEsonGib in January.

But the brutal nature of the end to this fight will leave serious questions about how these contests are being allowed to go ahead.
