Jake Paul wants "sword battle to the death" with Dana White to finally end beef

Jake Paul revealed he wants to fight UFC chief Dana White in a ‘sword battle to the death’ to end their long-running feud.

Paul, who has won each of his four professional fights to date, is set to fight Tommy Fury on December 18 in Tampa Bay, Florida. The controversial content creator will clash with Fury over eight rounds at a 192lb catchweight.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer defeated fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib, former NBA star Nate Robinson, retired MMA fighter Ben Askren and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

The 24-year-old has called out a number of UFC fighters, including Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor. In doing so, he has become embroiled in a bitter war of words with UFC president White.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Paul discussed how he wants his beef with White to be sorted.

“Pay-Per-View, sword battle to the death,” the controversial content creator said.

“Nah, I mean, who knows if it ends. It might never end.

“I think eventually he’s gonna have to do business with me and let his UFC champions come over and box me.”

Paul and former UFC champion Tyron Woodley fought in a fully-sanctioned professional boxing match when they met in August, with the YouTuber star earning a split-decision victory.

It would probably be wiser for Paul to meet White in a ring, as he is a huge fan of swords and has his own collection. In his office, White has two samurai swords which date as far back to the 1500’s, with the original owner immortalised via a statue in the corner.

The two men have clashed a number of times recently, with the 52-year-old laying into Paul following his comments on Claressa Shields’ loss.

Paul is hoping to secure a future deal with White’s UFC star McGregor in the ring, despite the Irishman falling to Floyd Mayeather in his only boxing bout back in 2017.

After turning professional in January 2020, Paul claimed he is the best thing to happen to boxing in 100 years.

“I’m the best thing that's happened to boxing in a century, period,” Paul told Bleacher Report.

“The legends would agree. The Anthony Joshuas, the Mike Tysons, the Manny Pacquiaos, the Tyson Furys. They've all said what I'm doing for boxing is a breath of fresh air.

“I think that debate started about a year ago – is Jake Paul good for boxing?

“I have silenced that, and I don't think there's anybody on the other side of the equation who thinks I'm bad for boxing.

“I have a foundation where we give boxing gloves to as many kids as possible. We're going around, renovating boxing gyms, getting the young kids inspired to box.

“I think this sport needed that revival.”
