‘Scariest Man on the Planet’ vs ‘Iranian Hulk’ fight date and venue agreed

Bodybuilder and actor Martyn Ford, who stands at almost seven foot tall and is known as the 'Scariest Man on the Planet’, has agreed to fight the 390lb Sajad 'Iranian Hulk' Gharibi in a boxing match.

Boxstar Celebrity Boxing will host the event, which will take place on April 2 next year at The O2 arena in London and will feature as an undercard of "huge celebrity fights"..

The two giants have a rivalry which dates back to 2018 when they were linked to a fight in KSW when Ford signed for the Polish-MMA promotion, but the fight never materialised.

Neither Ford or Gharibi have competed professionally in the ring or cage, but Ford has spent several years training in mixed martial arts.

Ford is a well known British actor who has appeared in films such as Fast & Furious 9 and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Bodybuilders and strongmen transitioning to combat sports has become a common theme in recent years as celebrity boxing continues to gain popularity.

Strongmen rivals Eddie Hall and Hafthor 'The Mountain' Bjornsson are at the forefront and are due to clash early next year following the postponement of their fight in September.

Hall tore his bicep and had to pull out of their scheduled fight with the rivals agreeing to postpone the bout until March.

And although Ford couldn't promise fans the most "technical fight" against Gharibi he did say his rivalry with the Iranian is "very personal".

"The London O2 is booked. I would absolutely love to put on an event you guys will never forget," he wrote on Instagram.
