LeBron James was among the sports stars to offer their support to Nick Chubb after the Browns running back suffered a gruesome knee injury against the Steelers.
Chubb’s left knee appeared almost entirely at a right angle after he was caught in a nasty collision that also saw Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick hurt during the first half of one of two Monday Night Football matchups.
Chubb was eventually carted from the field, as fears grow that he could now miss the remainder of the relatively new season.
But a few household names from all across the landscape of U.S. sports made sure to remind the 27-year-old that he’s in their thoughts and prayers, at least from what has been gathered on social media.
‘DAMN MAN!!!!’ shared James on X, formerly Twitter. ‘Nick Chubb. Praying for the absolute best.’

‘Just the worst feeling. Gutted for Nick Chubb,’ tweeted retired and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt, who’s also a minor investor in English soccer club, Burnley FC. ‘Hope Minkah is ok. Injuries suck man. They absolutely suck.’
‘Chubb,’ said Cleveland Cavaliers star Darius Garland, who also shared a praying emoji on X.
‘Prayers for Nick Chubb,’ mentioned Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Cardinals QB Kyle Murray, for his part, added that he ‘never wants to see that’ type of horrific injury.

‘That low hit is so brutal man especially when you carrying someone!! I hate that so much I’m so sick for Nick Chubb man,’ tweeted former NFL running back and Fox Sports analyst Mark Ingram II.
‘If you get a second, send a prayer up for Nick Chubb. Never want to see anybody on that cart,’ shared former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III.
‘Prayin for My brother Chubb,’ wrote Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, who tore his ACL in Super Bowl LVI with the L.A. Rams in 2021.
Steelers wide receiver Gunner Olszewski had also been taken off the field in the first half due to fears of a head injury, with his return being listed as doubtful.
