The Monday Night Football contest between the Chiefs and Ravens should be one of the better prime-time games of the NFL season. Both teams have high-powered offenses led by recent MVPs Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes, and they’re surrounded by a ton of weapons, as well. That should provide us with plenty of lineup possibilities in our FanDuel single-game DFS lineup for MNF.
We’re stacking up on the Chiefs passing game and banking on some rushing yards for the Ravens in this one. And, oh yeah, we’re absolutely making sure that we have both quarterbacks in our lineup because if this turns into a shootout, their ceilings are ridiculously high.
FanDuel Single-Game Picks: Ravens vs. Chiefs
MVP (1.5x points): Tyreek Hill, Chiefs ($13,500)
Both of the quarterbacks in this game will probably be the highest-owned MVPs, and while they are certainly solid starts in this role, we’re going in a different direction. Hill is a massive deep threat, and though he’s facing Baltimore’s strong secondary, he’s always a threat to rip off huge chunks of yardage. If he can log a couple of long catches and grab a TD, he could pay off pretty easily in this slot and gives us a bit of lineup differentiation at the top. That could be key to cashing in tournaments, though one of the QBs is probably the better play here in cash games.
FLEX: Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($16,500)
We may be fading the QBs and MVPs, but we’re not fading them entirely. Jackson still profiles as a good start against a Chiefs defense that just allowed 300 passing yards and a rushing TD to Justin Herbert. Jackson could scramble for quite a bit of yardage and has completed 77.6 percent of his passes to date. He has a high floor and a high ceiling, so he should do well here, andnd if you really want to make a QB your MVP, roll with Jackson over Mahomes due to his rushing floor.
FLEX: Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ($16,000)
If we have Hill in the lineup, we’re going to want his quarterback, too. Mahomes has five TDs on the season and scrambled for 54 yards last week. He may have to run a bit on this tough Ravens defense, so his floor is a bit higher than usual.
FLEX: Demarcus Robinson, Chiefs ($7,000)
Because we’re spending up for both quarterbacks, we have to spend down a little for some potential contributors. Robinson’s numbers this year aren’t impressive, but he does have 10 targets and has had some opportunities to catch TDs. We’ll bank on him potentially scoring to pay off his low-level price tag, especially with Sammy Watkins (concussion) questionable for the game.
FLEX: Gus Edwards, Ravens ($6,500)
The Ravens rushing attack is one of the best in the league, but they mix up their backs so much that it’s hard to predict who will be the leader each week. Edwards is a good bet at this price after he ran the ball 10 times for 73 yards against the Texans. So long as he gets enough touches, he should exceed this value.
