Premiership rugby players will be warned about the need to follow coronavirus guidelines strictly when the season resumes this weekend – or risk handing rivals bonus-point wins.
If any club’s participation is prohibited by Government or local authority restrictions, cancelled matches will be declared draws.
But if any club – or individuals within a club – are deemed to have breached coronavirus guidelines, they will gift opponents a 20-0 victory.

The domestic game will finally return on Friday when Harlequins host Sale to relaunch the disrupted 2019-20 campaign.
The onus will be on players and staff to stick to the protocols, especially those playing away from home when group transport and accommodation are needed.
