Piers Morgan has given his reaction to reports that Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way to Tottenham this summer. Ronaldo apparently wants to leave Juventus, with Europe’s big-hitters vying for his signature.
Morgan is a well-known Arsenal fan and reports linking Ronaldo with the club’s bitter rivals hasn’t gone down well with the broadcaster.
The 56-year-old took to Twitter to reply to a post from The Spurs Web, highlighting Ronaldo’s potential move.
Morgan simply wrote: “Kill me now,” followed by an emoji of a monkey covering its eyes.
The tweet appears to be alluding to the fact that Tottenham could be viewed as a better destination for one of the world’s best-ever players rather than Morgan’s beloved Arsenal.
Spurs have got off to a flying start this season as they began their Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over champions Manchester City.

They backed that up with another 1-0 triumph on Sunday as they dispatched Wolves at Molineux.
Their impressive start comes despite the fact the club find themselves in a tug-of-war situation for star striker Harry Kane.
Kane wants to move to Man City and has made his wishes known to club chiefs.
The England captain was named on the bench for Sunday’s victory – but speculation around his future doesn’t seem to be impacting the rest of the Tottenham squad if their early season form is anything to go by.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have had a shocking start to the new campaign, going down 2-0 to Premier League new-boys Brentford on the opening day, before losing by the same scoreline at home to Chelsea on Sunday.
It could be another difficult season for Morgan and his fellow Arsenal fans if they don’t find form soon and pressure is continuing to grow on boss Mikel Arteta.
For the first time in their history Arsenal have started a league season with two defeats and no goals.
And, with the Gunners set to visit Man City on Saturday, things could soon get worse for Arteta’s side.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo was named on the bench for Juventus’ 2-2 draw with Udinese in Sunday’s Serie A opener and is apparently angling for a move away from Turin.
Manchester United and Man City are rumoured to be interested, while the player was forced to deny reports that he would be returning to Real Madrid earlier this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain is another possible destination for the Portugal forward, with the French club being installed as early Champions League favourites.
If Ronaldo were to make the move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, it would certainly give Spurs one-up on their north London rivals as they look to finish above Arsenal for the sixth consecutive season.
