Arsenal fans have flown a banner over Villa Park with a message to their owners and manager during their Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
Shortly after kick-off, a plane flew above the pitch reading: "Back Arteta, Kroenke out" as fans voiced their displeasure at their owners.
It comes with Arsenal set to be forced to sell before they can buy in the summer transfer window as fans grow frustrated at a lack of funds set to be available for Arteta's overhaul.
Arteta has been vocal in voicing his "big concerns" as they aim to close the gap on top clubs ahead of next season, despite beating Liverpool and Manchester City in their last two matches.
Asked last week if he was sending a message to the ownership with comments after beating Liverpool, Arteta responded: "No, that was misinterpreted. It wasn't my intention.
"We work so closely with everyone at the club, with the owners to put the plan that we need to take the club forward. Everybody has the same ambition, we are in all of this together.
"But if you ask me if I know right now what do I have and how can I do it, I'm sorry but I don't know because there are a lot of questions that we can not resolve right now with the situation we have.
"One is financially and the other one is because we do not know if we are in Europe, and because we have players that we don't know what's going to happen.
"That's the reality. It's not about sending a message, we all have the same objective which is to try to bring the club back as quickly as possible, fighting with the top teams in the country and in Europe and that's it, and I want to do that as quickly as possible."
Asked if he speaks to the Kroenke family or transfer chief Raul Sanllehi more, he added: "No I speak with them and I have a really, really good and open relationship, that's why when you mention that I am surprised because I don't need to do that.
"I can make a phonecall and speak to them and they have been very, very supportive from the first day that I joined the club and they were very much participating in the decision to bring me back here and the same with Raul and Vinai and Edu. There are no gaps or friction or anything there."
