Arsenal fans in stitches as Aaron Ramsdale ‘won’t even say Tottenham’s name’

Arsenal fans have been left in stitches after he refuses to say 'Tottenham' during his post-match interview on Sky.

The Gunners looked impressive as they dismantled Bournemouth 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening. Ramsdale kept his second clean sheet of the season as Arsenal kept their perfect record to sore to the top of the Premier League table.

Speaking to Sky after the game, Ramsdale spoke of the disappointment of losing out to the 'others down the road' after the Gunners' resurgent start. And Arsenal fans have loved Ramsdale refusing to acknowledge Spurs' name in the interview.

One fan tweeted: "Love Ramsdale’s honesty so much. The fact he won’t even say Spurs’ name as well!"

Ramsdale had said: "It's crazy how our mentality has changed from the end of last season. We're more ruthless. We saw how close we came last season [just looking out on a Champions League place to Spurs]. It took a few weeks to get over. It hurt more because it was the others down the road.

"Zinchenko and Jesus know how to win."

Ramsdale has been quick to win over the Arsenal fans in his short time at the Emirates.

"Rambo is a very special talent. Very fortunate to have seen him so young and have the impact he did. Won’t be long before he is England’s no.1," one fan replied to the interview.

Another said: "First time I've heard the lad speak, comes across really well." And a third added: "Great interview, sounds like he reads the game well and is very aware of the failures of last season and the difference this time round. Good man Rambo!"
