Arsenal fans would refuse £40m for player who’s had just 10 games for Gunners
Arsenal fans have laughed off a £40million price tag that has been attached to rising star Folarin Balogun following his sensational season in Ligue 1.
The 21-year-old has 16 goals to his name across 26 domestic appearance while on loan at Reims from the Emirates with many tipping him to battle Gabriel Jesus for a starting spot next season.
Thought of highly by the Arsenal fanbase despite only making 10 appearances for the club, fans have turned their noses up at a potential £40m sale after Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport reported interest from both AC Milan and Inter Milan.

One fan said following that update: "I wouldn't sell Balogun for £40m, because if Balogun belonged to another club scoring 16 goals and Arsenal tried to sign him, they won't sell for £40m."
A second posted: "I would like to see Folarin Balogun get his chance to impress at Arsenal next season. DO NOT sell him on the cheap. Set asking price at £70M+."
A third agreed: "I wouldn't even sell because there are few talented and good strikers in the market, not to even mention young vibrant strikers! Folarin Balogun is here to stay!"
Arsenal fans, would you cash in on Folarin Balogun or keep him in the squad for next season? Tell us in the comments section below.
Having scored his 17th goal of the season in all competitions against Monaco, Balogun is the youngest player to score 16 goals in his debut Ligue 1 season since 1960/61.
Balogun has a big fan in Mikel Arteta, who handed more game time to Eddie Nketiah this season with Jesus only recently returning from injury.
The Spaniard said: “I’m so happy for him. He’s a boy that has a really clear idea of what he wants to do with his career.

"He’s really ambitious, really committed and really brave. We discussed a lot before he made that move whether it was the right place to go and the other choices he had. He was so convinced. I’m really happy for him because he deserves what he’s getting.
“When you look at the numbers and what he is doing, it’s just incredible. It’s very rare to see that.
"But he’s got something special, that’s why we decided to give him a long-term contract and have faith in him and give him the long period that he needs now, because the loan he is having now is really different to the one he had before at Middlesbrough."
