Arsenal player wages list shows Thomas Partey and Nicolas Pepe in the top three

Arsenal's wages have been revealed and fans are astonished to learn that Nicolas Pepe and Thomas Partey are two of the club's top three earners.

Partey, who earns a reported £200,000-a-week, briefly became the highest-paid player at the Emirates following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, though has since been overtaken by new signing Gabriel Jesus, who is on £265,000-a-week, according to figures provided by Spotrac.

In spite of the torrid three years he's spent in north London, Pepe remains one of Arsenals' highest-earning stars on £140,000-a-week, and the fact that he's making more money than some of the club's best young talents has rubbed a fair few Gunners fans up the wrong way.

"How on earth is Pepe still one of our biggest earners? Get that guy out man," one fan tweeted. "Pepe being on here is a joke," another wrote, while a third commented: "How can we be a serious club when we're paying Pepe that much??"

A fourth said: "Pepe earning 5 times as much as Saka and Partey earning 10 times as much as Smith-Rowe! Nahh."

Who do you think should be Arsenal's top three earners? Let us know in the comments section below.

Elsewhere, Hector Bellerin is still in the club's top five earners on £110,000-a-week, despite spending last season on loan at Real Betis, while newly-appointed skipper Martin Odegaard is on £80,000-a-week.

Further down the list, Bukayo Saka is making a measly £30,000-a-week, despite being voted Arsenal Player of the Year last season, while fellow starlet Emile Smith-Rowe is on just £20,000-a-week. Contract talks have been ongoing for Saka.

Meanwhile William Saliba, who has looked fabulous in pre-season following loan spells at Saint-Etienne, Nice and Marseille, is earning just a third (£40,000-a-week) of what centre back partner Benjamin White is making (£120,000-a-week).
