Arsenal have been urged to sign ‘superb’ former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen by ex-Gunners striker Kevin Campbell.
Eriksen spent seven successful years at Spurs – playing more than 300 games for the club and helping Mauricio Pochettino’s side reach the Champions League final.
The Denmark midfielder left north London last summer to join Inter Milan but has endured a difficult spell in Italy.
Eriksen is already being linked with a move away from Milan and recent reports say Arsenal have been offered the player in exchange for Granit Xhaka.
Reacting to the speculation, former Arsenal star Campbell told Football Insider: ‘Christian Eriksen played for the rivals but we all know the quality he possesses, that is for sure.
‘It is not quite working out for him at Inter Milan right now and I am sure he would be a good addition to Arsenal’s squad.
‘I do not care if he played for Spurs – he is a superb player who can bring something to the table for Arsenal.
‘I would not mind it if we swapped Christian Eriksen for Granit Xhaka. The key is building and fattening that squad up to challenge and you can never have enough quality players.’
Arsenal, who are currently 11th in the Premier League, face newly-promoted Leeds United this weekend.
