Arsenal have made just one signing so far this summer, bringing in left-back Nuno Tavares from Benfica for a fee of £6.8m. However, after a disappointing campaign in Mikel Arteta’s first full season in charge which saw the Gunners finish eighth in the Premier League and fail to qualify for Europe for the first time in 26 years, it seems clear that more additions are needed.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a number of potential transfer targets as they look to strengthen their squad.
Like most clubs, their transfer plans have been affected by Euro 2020, with a number of stars that the Gunners have been linked to away on international duty.
Now that the tournament has come to an end, more movement is expected ahead of the start of the new season and Arsenal is no different.
Express Sport has taken a look at three players Arsenal could sign now that Euro 2020 is over.

Manuel Locatelli – 8
Locatelli has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with Sassuolo’s chief executive Giovanni Carnevali revealing the Gunners have made an “official bid” for the midfielder and are “pushing hard” to sign him.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive Euro 2020, starting Italy’s first two group games and netting a brace against Switzerland as they went on to lift the trophy.
Following the return of Marco Verratti from a knee injury, Locatelli had to settle for a role off the bench.
Arsenal are not the only club interested in his services, with Juventus also heavily linked and reports have claimed that the Serie A giants are the frontrunners for his signature.

Alexander Isak – 8
The 21-year-old may not have scored euro 2020, but he impressed many with his performances for Sweden, making two assists.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Arsenal ‘have spoken with the Swede’s representatives’, informing them of their interest.
The Gunners are in the market for a new forward this summer, with Eddie Nketiah linked with an exit and Alexandre Lacazette having just a year left to run on his deal.
Once again, though, Arsenal are not the only club interested in Isak and the forward has just signed a new contract with Real Sociedad, meaning it will take a bumper offer to prise him away.
Jules Kounde – 7
The Sevilla star may have only featured once for France at the Euros, playing out of position at right-back, but that is simply down to the quality at Didier Deschamps’ disposal.
The Athletic reported back in May that Arsenal were interested in Kounde as they look to strengthen their backline and he would certainly be an excellent addition.
However, the move has been deemed unlikely, with Sevilla expected to demand around £50m and Arsenal unable to offer European football.
Instead, Arsenal appear close to finalising a swoop for Brighton defender Ben White, who was part of England’s Euro 2020 squad but did not make a single appearance.
