Mikel Arteta aimed a small swipe at some members of his Arsenal squad who have refused to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
Arsenal lost their opening Premier League clash with newly-promoted Brentford during the first matchday.
However, Arsenal were without four first-team players due to positive Covid-19 tests: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Willian, and Alex Runarsson.
There is no suggestion the four are among those who have refused a jab.
The Spaniard wasn't happy the game was allowed to go ahead due to the absence of some of the star players.
But he has now revealed that some of the Arsenal players are refusing the Covid-19 vaccine and some are yet to be double jabbed.
And the Gunners boss urged them to get it because it's "about protecting the people around us as well" in what appears to be a swipe.
He said: "Most of them are double vaccinated. Others have had one vaccine.
"We are trying to encourage them to get vaccinated, but it's a personal matter."
He then reiterated that point: "At the end of the day, it's a personal decision.
"It's not about protecting ourselves, it's about protecting the people around us as well."
Arteta then spoke about how he was surprised that the game was allowed to go ahead: "I was surprised, but the regulators decided the best thing to do was to play the game."

Aubameyang, however, could return to the first team for the Gunners' big clash with Chelsea on Sunday.
"Aubameyang tested positive for Covid-19 and was unavailable for last Friday’s match at Brentford," Arteta continued.
"Auba is now negative on Covid-19 testing, is well and following all protocols for return to play.
"He will return to training and be assessed prior to Sunday’s match."

Lacazette, however, will not be in the side for Chelsea, Arteta confirmed in his press conference.
Willian and Runarsson are unlikely to be involved, too, with both looking to leave the Emirates this summer.
