Aston Villa supporters have turned on star man Jack Grealish after it was announced the fan favourite is set to sign for Manchester City in a British record transfer.
If a deal is agreed, the 25-year-old will travel to Manchester to undergo a medical and sort out the finer details of the £100 million-pound move.
The Brummie-born midfielder is adored by Villa fans for his direct play, audacious flicks and mesmorising displays but Grealish wants to test himself on the biggest stage and the allure of the Champions League is something he can't say no to.
For the majority of Villa fans, Grealish's loyalty has never been questioned; he stayed despite relegation in 2016, helped win promotion back to the Premier League and committed himself to the club by signing a five-year contract in September.
However some supporters are now drawing comparisons with former Villan Fabian Delph ,who made a last minute u-turn to join Man City have previously stated he was committed to Aston Villa.
Fans have taken to Twitter to express their displeasure at Grealish making the switch to the Ethihad Stadium:
"Leaving with 2 weeks before the season starts??? Delph esque move that. He’s had the whole summer," wrote one fan.

"Jacks no Gabby Agbonlahor, a true villa fan right there. Nope, jack joins a long list of turn coats, Delph, Barry, Yorke, who are never welcome back at villa park," replied another.
"Unfollowed Grealish on all social media, dead to me, no Villa fan walks out on the club a week before the season when we’re on the up, absolute snake," commented a supporter on social media.
