Aston Villa vs Burnley live stream: How to watch Premier League fixture on Amazon Prime

Aston Villa host Burnley in the Premier League on Thursday evening as the home team look to mount a new surge up the table.

Villa, who started the season so strongly before dropping off, are mid-table on 18 points but have multiple games in hand over most teams in the league. A successful run would see them right back in the mix around the top of the table, and that could start with their hosting of Burnley.

The visitors, meanwhile, are floating around the relegation zone. But in a week in which Fulham and West Brom have gained points against Liverpool and Man City respectively, Sean Dyche will feel that his team are more than capable of getting a result against Villa. Burnley can even look to their own last outing for inspiration, when they defeated 10-man Arsenal 1-0. Villa were also 1-0 winners over 10-man opposition in Wolves last time out, though they had a sending-off of their own as well.

Burnley: Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Brady, Westwood, Brownhill, McNeil; Rodriguez, Wood

Prediction

Burnley will be buoyed by their victory over Arsenal but still need points quickly. Those factors should make this a competitive contest against a Villa team that are in an inconsistent spell right now. Villa 1-1 Burnley.
