Barcelona are reportedly confident about sealing a move for Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum before the end of the transfer window on October 5.
New Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is keen to bring his compatriot to the Nou Camp and Wijnaldum is entering the final year of his current contract with Liverpool.
According to reports in Spain, the player has given the move the 'OK' and there have been claims from Holland that Wijnaldum's agent is close to finalising an agreement with Barcelona.
Now, Goal are reporting that the Catalan giants believe they will be able to seal the deal after letting Ivan Rakitic join Sevilla and fellow midfielder Arturo Vidal also looking set to leave.
When asked about whether he will become an important player at Barcelona, Wijnaldum replied: "I thought you would say – important part of the Oranje.
"It’s a rumour, that is the only thing I can say about it. If you ask a question about the Oranje, I can answer it."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has also remained tight-lipped, saying: "An open contract situation, we don’t talk about it.

"It’s all between us and the player. All good at the moment. Gini looked good in pre-season, played some good seasons for us. That is all I can say."
Wijnaldum has previously suggested his future could lie away from Anfield, addressing his contract situation back in January before Liverpool lifted the Premier League title.
He said: "I’m just focusing on bringing this season to a good end and that’s the only thing I’m thinking of.
"What would I like? It is difficult to say. It depends on what the club wants and how the situation is at that time. We will see."
When asked if it would be difficult to leave the Merseyside club, Wijnaldum added: "Yes, it’s like home.
"You just have to see how the situation is but if the manager decides that the younger players are going to play the game then we should accept it."
