Bayern Munich ruthlessly sack two club chiefs minutes after winning Bundesliga

Bayern Munich have ruthlessly sacked Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic just minutes after Thomas Tuchel’s side claimed the club’s 11th successive Bundesliga title. Salihamidzic was even in the stands in Cologne while Kahn stayed at home as Bayern weathered a late scared to beat FC Koln 2-1 as Borussia Dortmund choked the chance to end their rival’s extended period of dominance.

Bayern were ahead at Koln in the first half to really up the pressure on Dortmund, who found themselves 2-0 down in the first half on home soil against Mainz.

Sebastien Haller also missed a penalty during that timeframe but Dortmund were eventually handed a lifeline when Koln levelled things up from the spot late in the day.

But Dortmund were unable to capitalise despite Niklas Sule’s late leveller after Jamal Musiala netted a dramatic winner for Bayern that etched their name on the trophy.

Yet there was an added twist for Bayern amid their jubilant title celebrations as Germany reports documented that both Kahn and Salihamidzic had been sacked at full-time.

The Bosnian was watching on through his fingers in the stand above and was even on the pitch celebrating passionately after Bayern had been crowned champions.
