Bellingham ‘deciding future’ amid Liverpool, Man Utd and Madrid fight

Liverpool Jude Bellingham Transfer Problem

Jude Bellingham is poised to make a decision on his future imminently as Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid face an anxious wait to discover which the midfielder has decided to join. The Borussia Dortmund starlet is set to finally decide where his future lies with several clubs hoping to clinch his signature this summer ahead of a possible move that could smash the British transfer record.

Reports in Germany suggest that the 19-year-old has made up his mind over his future and will sit down to discuss his options with Dortmund chiefs. According to German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, Bellingham has ‘finally’ made a decision over his future.

It is widely expected the former Birmingham City trainee will end his three-and-a-half-year spell in the Bundesliga, with strong interest from England and Spain.

The German club have already insisted they will not stand in Bellingham’s way if he opts to leave, but with no release clause written into his contract, it could take a fee in excess of £100million to prise him away from Germany.

Liverpool are thought to be the frontrunners to land Bellingham this summer as Jurgen Klopp eyes a complete overhaul of his midfield. Bellingham is seen as the perfect contender to take Liverpool into a new cycle under the German boss with Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara all seen to be past their best. The England star could be joined by his international team-mate Mason Mount, who has been linked with a move from rivals Chelsea.

However, the Reds face a battle to qualify for the Champions League next season which could sway Bellingham’s thinking, with Manchester City and Real Madrid all but guaranteed of their places in the competition.

Klopp has already begun the charm offensive when praising Bellingham’s abilities back in December: “With all the things he has and things he can improve, to describe him I would say the things he can do are difficult to learn, and the things he can improve are easy to learn,” he said.

“So, yes, he is a really good player. What can I say? I have thought that already for two or three years since he had his breakthrough at Dortmund. Everybody knew already but I have no idea what that means for the money side of it.”

City and Madrid are both keen on the centre midfielder, who was handed the captaincy at Dortmund by head coach Edin Terzic, and the former would certainly possess the financial muscle to blow Liverpool out of the water.

The Spanish giants see Bellingham as a long-term successor to stalwarts Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, although they already have Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga in place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

In any case, it appears Bellingham has made up his mind about his future, and now fans will be eagerly waiting to find out whether he will be coming to the Premier League or going abroad with Champions League holders Madrid.
