Bruno Fernandes has welcomed Alex Telles as his new Manchester United team-mate after his arrival on deadline day.
Both players lined up against each other in the Primeira Liga last season for Sporting Lisbon and Porto.
But they now share the same dressing room after Telles signed for a fee of around £18m.
The Brazilian was made a top target by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has been impressed by his attacking output.
With Luke Shaw struggling with fitness and Brandon Williams inexperienced, the Norwegian was keen on another left-back.
Telles scored 11 times last season and was desperate for the move to United, forcing Porto to accept an offer.
And the ex-Inter Milan star has revealed what Fernandes told him about the Red Devils.
"I believe I’m going to meet a marvellous group," Telles told United’s official website.
"I’ve spoken to Bruno Fernandes and he’s said how welcoming the boys are. I believe I will settle very well into the group."
Telles is one of four signings on deadline day at Old Trafford, including Edinson Cavani, Amad Traore and Facundo Pellistri.
The most notable of those arrivals is Cavani, who saw his contract expire at Paris St-Germain this summer.
The Uruguay international joins with a wealth of experience at the age of 33 to provide Solskjaer with more attacking options.
However, after he was awarded the famous No. 7 jersey, it all but confirmed that a deal for Jadon Sancho had been called off.
United were saving the shirt for the England international but Borussia Dortmund had rebuffed their efforts.
Regardless, Solskjaer was over the moon to land Cavani as a result of his experience.
