Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton will face up against the Class of 92’s League Two Salford City side

Salford and fellow League Two side Harrogate Town will both face Premier League sides

Liverpool and Manchester United have been drawn against lower league opposition in the cup

Meanwhile holders Manchester City will face either Bournemouth or Crystal Palace while Chelsea will face one of Middlesbrough or Barnsley.

Should Pep Guardiola’s side win the competition, it will mean they have won the competition four years in a row.

One of the biggest games of the third round tie will see last year’s semi-finalists Leicester City face Arsenal.

Tottenham’s hectic start to the season has been increased as they will face the winners of Leyton Orient or Plymouth.

Tottenham will likely have to play their youngsters as they have five games in 11 days

It means that Jose Mourinho’s side now face five games in 11 days, including Everton, Southampton and two Europa League ties.

One of the more intriguing ties of the second round will see Everton face the Class of 92’s Salford City.

Salford’s League Two compatriots Harrogate Town will also face Premier League opposition against West Brom.

Arsenal will face Leicester in arguably the biggest game of the third round Carabao Cup draw

Manchester City will look to retain the Carabao Cup and win it for the fourth season in a row
