Casemiro’s defining text he sent to his agent during Brentford 4-0 Man Utd

Manchester United midfield colossus Casemiro said “I’ll fix this” after Erik ten Hag’s side were battered 4-0 by Brentford.

The United manager could not have endured a worse start to life as the Red Devils manager. While a 2-1 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion was a terrible start, the former Ajax manager’s reign appeared set for disaster when the Bees swarmed United and hammered four goals past them.

At the time, Casemiro’s £70m move to United was in its final stages. However, the Brazilian was far from put off by United’s horrific start to the Premier League campaign.

According to The Telegraph, the Real Madrid legend told his agent, "Tell them (United) I’ll fix this", watching United’s dismal performance in West London. It is certainly fair to say the Brazilian has held up his end of the bargain.

The impressive form of Scott McTominay and fellow summer arrival Christian Eriksen initially delayed the five-time Champions League winner’s spell in the first team. But since being handed his full debut in United’s 2-1 away victory against Everton, Casemiro may be the first name on Ten Hag’s team sheet.

While his commanding presence in midfield is what he is known for, he has also chimed in with two vital goals for the Red Devils. His 94th minute equaliser at Stamford Bridge in United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea could prove to be vital for Ten Hag’s side.

His exuberant, pumped-up celebration also demonstrated how much he is enjoying his time at Old Trafford. Casemiro will most likely be entrusted with the daunting task of keeping Kevin De Bruyne quiet in the midfield alongside Eriksen.

Sometimes, keeping the Belgian maestro quiet often appears to be an impossible task. Yet, if there was anybody United fans wanted for that job, it is Casemiro.
