Marina Granovskaia has been praised following Willian’s summer transfer to Arsenal.
The Brazil international winger decided not to agree new terms with Chelsea earlier this year, which allowed him to join Mikel Arteta at the Emirates on a free transfer.
Although they are said to have offered a new deal to their winger, their terms were not enough to secure his signature – ending his seven-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
Despite a bright start to life in north London, the 32-year-old’s performance during the 3-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa on Sunday has left his former supporters feeling relieved.
One fan said following his performance in the defeat to Aston Villa: “Best business of the summer was selling Willian to Arsenal. Marina Granovskaia truly worked wonders with that one.”
As second added: Marina Granovskaia has been terrific this transfer window. Didn’t relent on Willian.”
A third continued: “Respect goes to Marina Granovskaia, who didn’t fall for the pressure of Willian & his agent.”
A fourth concluded: “He wanted to scam us for 3 years but thank God Lady Marina refused.”
Arteta said of the forward last week: “I think he started really well with his first game against Fulham, then he had an injury and he didn’t have any time to train, he didn’t have any pre-season and he was later than the others.
“Then we’ve been changing the front three and they need to generate that cohesion, that understanding and those relationships on the pitch between the front players in order for things to work better.
“I can see a development in the last two games and the understanding of things that we do but he’s not used to. He’s getting better and better and we all know the quality that he has and he’s a great option to have on the pitch."

Lampard said of his former team-mate in August: "In terms of being disappointed, certainly as a club we have done everything we can to explain to Willian.
"Mine and his relationship is very close and I would have no feeling of disappointment if he does move on. He is a fantastic man and a fantastic player.
"The club have acted very well in this as well. If he moves on I personally will wish him well. That is where we are at.
“I think he leaves a hole as a player who has been here for I think seven seasons, being part of successful teams. He has his own decisions to make. We as a club will always want to move forward, no matter what.”
