Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is considering selling Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer transfer window, with AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on the club’s radar and according to reports in Italy, Milan are already preparing a shortlist of replacements.
According to Italian publication CalcioMercato, Donnarumma’s future at the club remains “highly” uncertain.
The report claims Milan and the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, are not close to reaching an agreement on a new deal.
The 21-year-old is out of contract in 2021 and while the club wants to keep hold of their talented keeper they have also begun creating a shortlist of replacements if he leaves.
One option the club are considering is promoting 37-year-old Pepe Reina, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Milan, or 20-year-old Alessandro Plizzari, who is on loan at Serie B club Livorno.

However, Milan are also exploring the option of dipping into the transfer market to find a long-term replacement for Donnarumma.
The report claims the Rossoneri are considering 23-year-old keeper Alex Meret, who is out of favour at Napoli, and Udinese’s Juan Musso, but they could face a battle with Inter for his signature as they are also interested in the 25-year-old.
Milan are also said to be considering Sporting Lisbon keeper Luis Maximiano.

The 21-year-old is having a breakout season for the Portuguese club and Milan see the young prospect as a cheaper option than pursuing Meret or Musso.
Maximiano’s current deal keeps him at Sporting until 2023, but according to Portuguese publication A Bola, the club are preparing to hold talks with the player about increasing his current £80,000 (€90k) a year contract and including a buyout clause in any new deal.
As for Chelsea, reports in Italy have suggested that Milan will be looking for a fee of £54million (€60m) for Donnarumma.
Lampard dropped Kepa earlier in the season after the manager criticised the 25-year-old for errors that he believes cost the Blues valuable points.
As a result, they could now look towards Donnarumma, who has already made 190 appearances for Milan in all competitions and his performances have also earned him 16 caps for Italy.

Chelsea signed Kepa for a club-record transfer of £71million from Athletic Bilbao in 2018 and it has been reported that his former club would consider re-signing the keeper.
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, Kepa has made 87 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, during which time he has conceded 94 goals and kept 31 clean sheets.
But with Chelsea hoping to finish in the top-four this season, Lampard thought Kepa’s inconsistent performances and mistakes were hindering the team.
Kepa was subsequently dropped for five straight games, with Lampard favouring 38-year-old keeper Willy Caballero instead.
