Chelsea still have a lot to play for in a hectic end to the campaign, as they look to secure a top four finish and contest the Champions League final against Manchester City.
The Blues lost last weekend’s FA Cup final but enjoyed a degree of revenge over Leicester on Tuesday with a fully-deserved Premier League victory at Stamford Bridge.
Away from the pitch, the club will no doubt be looking to bolster their squad ahead of next season to provide Thomas Tuchel with a squad capable of challenging for the next league title.
With that in mind, here is a look at the transfer noises coming out of Stamford Bridge.
Contact on Lewandowski
Chelsea are hopeful of a sensational move to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and have already made contact over a possible move.
That is according to Sky Germany, who say that the impending exits of Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud from Stamford Bridge would make room for the Poland marksman.
The Blues raided the Bundesliga last summer for Kai Havertz and Timo Werner and they were reportedly willing to invest heavily again.
The 32-year-old beat Gerd Muller's all-time record of 40 goals in one season in Germany and remains as prolific as ever.
Blues eyes on French defender
Chelsea may look to Germany to bolster their defence with Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix being monitored.
A report from Sky Sports claims the Frenchman is on Chelsea’s radar having impressed in the Bundesliga this campaign, making 34 starts for the high-flying side.
Wolfsburg have secured Champions League football for next season and are in a strong financial position, but would consider an offer in excess of £25million for the player.
Giroud set for Italy
Milan is an increasingly likely destination for Olivier Giroud when his contract at Chelsea expires this summer, report Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is reported how Andriy Shevchenko – a former Rossoneri legend who was also on the books at Chelsea – was an idol of Giroud and he has a preference to join the Milanese giants.
Inter, Lazio and Roma are three other Serie A sides are said to be in the frame for the Frenchman, who has netted 11 goals for the Blues this campaign but is set to leave at the end of his contract.
