Chelsea transfer roundup: Declan Rice update as Tomori linked with Ligue 1 move

Chelsea continue to be at the centre of transfer speculation in this summer’s window.

The Blues have already confirmed the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner but they appear to be far from done in the transfer market.

Kai Havertz has been strongly linked with a big-money move to Stamford Bridge, but that deal being completed will largely depend on when Bayer Leverkusen finish their Europa League campaign.

Other arrivals and departures are expected for Frank Lampard’s side, and the latest Chelsea transfer rumours certainly outline that.

West Ham yet to receive Rice offer

West Ham United manager David Moyes says the club have not received any bids for Chelsea target Declan Rice.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge on several occasions in recent weeks but Moyes and the club appear reluctant to sell the England international, who started his career with the Blues.

Rice enjoyed a successful 2019/20 campaign as he helped the club to safety in the Premier League, and the chances of him leaving for Chelsea this summer seem slim.

Moyes told the Evening Standard: “At the moment there have been no offers for Declan and we don’t want any. There’s always interest but we don’t want to encourage it.”

Tomori linked with Stamford Bridge exit

Highly-rated Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has attracted interest from Ligue 1 side Lille.

The 22-year-old is also the subject of interest from Rennes, with reports from L’Equipe (via GFFN) suggesting he could be on the move this summer.

It is not yet known whether Tomori would leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis or a loan, but a lack of game time during the second half of this season may force him to seek minutes elsewhere.

Given the central defender enjoyed a good start to the 2019/20 season, it may be more likely to see him leave Chelsea on a temporary basis.

Alonso ‘in talks’ to join Inter Milan

Marcos Alonso is in talks to join Inter Milan this summer amid reports the Blues will recruit a new left-back.

Football Insider claims the Spaniard has opened discussions with the San Siro club and a reunion with Antonio Conte could be on the cards despite the former Chelsea manager’s future also being in doubt.

If Alonso is to leave for the Serie A side, Lampard could be afforded the necessary tools needed to bring in a replacement, and Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell and Real Madrid ’s Sergio Reguilon have both been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.
