Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Manchester United to set a price so that he can finalise a move away from Old Trafford.
Wantaway star Ronaldo has been itching to depart all summer after United failed to qualify for the Champions League last season. The Red Devils finished sixth under interim boss Ralf Rangnick, missing out on a place at Europe's top table.
The 37-year-old star and his agent, Jorge Mendes, held crunch talks with the United hierarchy on Tuesday in a bid to sort out his future. According to The Sun, Mendes informed club bosses that he had an offer on the table for Ronaldo and that a transfer fee needs to be set to allow the Portuguese to move on.

United are understood to have refused and told Mendes they have no intention of letting Ronaldo go. United laughed off suggestions they should let the five-time Ballon d'Or winner depart on a free transfer to join a new club because of what was dubbed his "loyalty" to the 13-time Premier League champions.
The Red Devils paid around £12million to bring Ronaldo back to the club last summer, and he still has 12 months remaining on his deal. United also have the option to extend his contract by a further year.

With that in mind, it never seemed like a realistic possibility that the Old Trafford club would allow United to leave on a free. However, the situation needs to be resolved soon, with their Premier League opener against Brighton now just over a week away.
The situation involving Ronaldo is casting a huge shadow over the Theatre of Dreams as new boss Erik ten Hag continues preparations for the upcoming campaign.
CR7 missed the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia for "family reasons." He has since returned to training and watched on as his side defeated National League outfit Wrexham 4-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Carrington on Wednesday.
