England's final squad before the World Cup has been announced – and Ivan Toney is the standout name selected by Gareth Southgate.
The Brentford talisman has been in electric form for the Bees, notching five times and providing two assists. No other English player across Europe's top five leagues has found the net more than Toney so far this season.
Toney looks set to lead the charge for England's secondary striker position behind Harry Kane at the upcoming World Cup. However, he will face tough competition from Tammy Abraham – who finished last campaign in fine form for Roma.

Toney comes into the squad as England face two tricky Nations League clashes against Italy and Germany.
England will travel to Italy and the San Siro to square off with the Azzurri next Friday before returning to the UK to host Germany at Wembley the following Monday. The two fixtures will be Southgate's last games before the Three Lions kick-off in Qatar against Iran on 21 November.
Meanwhile, Southgate has handed recalls to Eric Dier, Ben Chilwell and Dean Henderson, who takes the place of the injured Jordan Pickford.
Jarrod Bowen keeps his place, despite being part of the squad which failed to win a single game out of the four England played in June. Southgate has also kept faith with Harry Maguire, despite him losing his place in the United side this season.

Southgate has decided against recalling Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
Rashford had looked a shell of himself after fluffing his lines in the Euro 2020 final, and was even dropped from the England set-up. But the winger has looked reinvigorated under the Dutchman, and Rashford is back on the scoresheet most weeks.
The Three Lions boss consulted with United's medical experts and was told it was unlikely Rashford, who is carrying an unspecified injury, would regain fitness in time for either game.
Ahead of the World Cup, according to FIFA rules, Southgate can name a 55-man provisional squad list.
However that will have to be cut down to 23-26 players on November 13th, and any injuries or covid positives can be swapped with players from the reserve list up until 24 hours before England's first match.
