Erik ten Hag remains concerned with the attitudes ‘of at least a couple’ of Manchester United players, having exiled Jadon Sancho.

The Dutchman has earned a reputation as a tough disciplinarian during the course of his first 18 months at the Old Trafford helm with the England winger the latest to feel his wrath.
Ten Hag has initially been sympathetic towards Sancho’s struggles off the pitch but his patience appears to have warn thin having banned him from using all first team facilities until he receives an apology from the £72million winger.
Sancho was left out of the matchday squad for United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal earlier this month having failed to live up to his manager’s expectations in training.
The 23-year-old has only recently deleted his social media post in which he took issue with his manager’s claims but he will not be welcomed back into the fold until an apology is forthcoming.
Sancho’s punishment and the severity of it has reportedly been questioned by several United players but Ten Hag hopes his banishment will act as a warning to anyone else who steps out of line.
ESPN, however, report that the former Ajax boss still harbours reservations about several members of his first team squad who are not 100% on board with his methods.
Two successive wins over Burnley and Crystal Palace have helped ease the pressure that was building around Ten Hag and former United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes the 52-year-old has handled the Sancho situation perfectly.
The Betfair Ambassador said: ‘When you know you’re not producing, you can be angry with yourself and your manager and this can lead to a bust-up like this.
‘The manager makes the decisions, though, and if Sancho doesn’t apologise to Ten Hag publicly or privately and understands his mistake the right way. Once he’s done that, he needs to earn his place in the team – and the only way to do that is by training harder and playing well when the chance arises.’
