Everton are the latest club to enter the race for Manchester City hitman Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine ace, 32, is available on a free this summer and is wanted by a host of clubs home and abroad.
Chelsea, Tottenham, Leeds, Barcelona and Inter Milan are among those already hot on the heels of Aguero,
And now Everton have added their name to the list as Goodison Park chief Carlo Ancelotti looks to strengthen his options up front.
The Toffees could never match Aguero’s current salary at the Etihad worth £240,000-a-week.
But they have informed the ex-Atletico Madrid man’s advisors that they will bridge any wage shortfall with a significant signing-on fee.
Aguero, 32, has spent much of the last two seasons struggling with injury but his record of 181 goals in 272 league appearances for City means he is still a player in serious demand.
