Former Liverpool striker Adam Morgan has recalled Steven Gerrard instructing him to tell Luis Suarez to "f*** off" before a match.
Morgan joined the Reds as a child and spent 10 years developing at the club's academy before breaking into the senior set up in 2012.
Then Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers took the young striker on Liverpool's pre-season tour of the US and Morgan continued to impress to put him in the frame for a first competitive start.
That start came in the second leg of a Europa League qualifying match against Hearts in August 2012 after Morgan appeared off the bench in the first leg.
The Englishman was chosen in the XI alongside club legends Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, and mercurial striker Suarez.
Morgan recalls the occasion vividly, not least because of Gerrard's frank advice to him in the build-up to kick off.
"I always remember being stood there in the dressing room and Suarez came over and give me a hug, wished me good luck, told me to enjoy it, I’d be fine, all that stuff," Morgan told Goal . "That meant a lot.

“Then Gerrard came over in the tunnel. He pointed at Suarez. ‘If he shouts at you, tell him to f*** off!,' he told me.
"'He’s going to want the ball off you every single time, but just tell him to do one!’ He was joking, obviously, but it helped to relax me before the game.”
Morgan played just over an hour and appeared to score his first competitive goal by tapping in from a Suarez cutback, only for the ball to have been deemed out of play in the build-up.
He went on to feature against Anzhi Makhachkala for his third and final Reds appearance before loan spells at Rotherham United and Yeovil Town, followed by a permanent move to the latter.
Morgan has since played for a further 11 clubs and penned a deal with National League South side Chelmsford City in July.
