Bruno Fernandes has heaped praise on his Manchester United teammate Nathan Bishop after the promising goalkeeper penned a new deal with the club.
Bishop, 21, joined United from Southend in January 2020 and has already caught the eye of Old Trafford coaches.
The Red Devils have handed the England youth international improved terms in a contract which runs until 2023, with the option to extend for another year.
Bishop is yet to make his senior debut for the club and has made one appearance for the Under-21s this season.
But he has clearly made an impression on the United's star man Fernandes, who sent a heartfelt message to his junior teammate.
Reacting to Bishop's Instagram story sharing the news of his new deal, Fernandes wrote: "Well deserved, kid! Top lad and amazing professional," adding a fist-bump emoji.
Bishop said it was "incredible" to have extended his contract with United during an interview with the club's official website.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen for the youngster to go out on loan in search of regular minutes, and Bishop would relish such an opportunity.

"You learn your trade in playing games, that’s the most exciting thing, playing games and preparing for them," said the shot-stopper – who regularly featured in League One for Southend.
"I’m very excited to step out and hopefully be able to play for a team and put all the year’s work into that."
Bishop also opened up on how he has benefited from training with the Red Devils' talented crop of goalkeepers and coaching staff on a daily basis.
He added: "To be able to work with David [De Gea] every day… David, Dean [Henderson], Granty [Lee Grant] and Sergio [Romero] as well and the two coaches I have in Rich [Richard Hartis] in Craig [Mawson] and the gaffer as well is fantastic.
"His backroom staff are brilliant and they help me in every single way. Definitely development-wise I’ve made a lot of steps forward I think."
