FIFA agents exam ‘turns chaotic’ over lack of WiFi and candidates using phones
The FA have offered an apology after a FIFA agents' exam at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre descended into chaos.
The test on Wednesday, which must be passed by October if they are to continue working as agents, was sat by around 700 representatives. The venue was then hit with WiFi issues and random tannoy announcements, with many entrants failing to finish on time.
A spokesperson for the FA said: "Technical issues were experienced today during the sitting of the FIFA football agent exam, and some of the candidates were unable to complete the exam in time. We are working with FIFA to agree next steps and we apologise to candidates who were affected by these technical challenges."

The Mail report the event was slammed as 'pathetic' by those affected, with some delayed 40 minutes from the 1pm start time.
Some candidates were then permitted to use their own phones to access wifi – raising questions of integrity.
Despite having an hour, signal delays reportedly left some agents with seven minutes to answer the final six questions of the exam, all while random PA announcements provided an unwelcome distraction.

Some in attendance were reportedly told by FA officials that they could not help in the circumstances.
A FIFA spokesperson said: "FIFA is aware of technical issues experienced today during the sitting of the FIFA Football Agent exam in Birmingham as some candidates were unable to complete the exam in time.
"FIFA is in contact with The FA, who are responsible for the implementation of each exam, to ensure that those affected are able to re-sit the exam in the coming days."

The exam comes as a second round after the first sitting in London back in April, with 48% of those who took part failing.
Should current agents fail to pass the test as of October, they will not longer be able to continue in the role.
It was estimated that between 6000 and 7000 agents were working in the UK back in 2018, with that number now higher.
