Tottenham talisman Harry Kane was non-committal over his club future when speaking to the media this week. Kane is once again Spurs’ leading goalscorer this season but sees the Carabao Cup as his side’s only chance of ending their 13-year wait for silverware this season.

Kane is yet to win a trophy in his career and when asked if he would have to leave Spurs in search of silverware, he said: “I think that’s a hard question to answer right now.

“To be thinking about speculation or rumours would be damaging in terms of my own performance.

“Look, I try to stay out of that speculation as much as possible. I’m fully focused on doing the job on the pitch from now until the end of the summer and then we’ll see where we go from there.”

Following Kane’s comments, Express Sport have picked five strikers Tottenham could attempt to sign with the money they recoup for the England skipper.

JUST IN: How Liverpool could line up with Kalidou Koulibaly and two other signings next season

Ivan Toney

Toney has had a prolific first season with Brentford in the Championship.

He has scored 28 goals in 36 league matches for the Bees since his move from Peterborough.

Toney’s price would likely rise substantially if Brentford were to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Andre Silva

Eintracht Frankfurt star Silva has scored as many goals as Erling Haaland in the Bundesliga this season.

Only Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski has scored more than the Portuguese’s tally of 21.

Spurs were linked with Silva in January 2020 when he was still on the books of AC Milan.

Ollie Watkins

Watkins’ price is only heading in one direction, especially after his debut goal for England on Thursday.

He has 10 Premier League goals to his name in his first season in the top flight with Aston Villa.

Spurs were interested in signing Watkins last summer but could not guarantee him a first-team spot due to the presence of Kane.

Danny Ings

Southampton star Ings is another striker Spurs have been linked with in the past.

As recently as January Tottenham were reported as potential suitors for the former Liverpool star.

Ings has scored eight goals in 22 Premier League appearances this season.

Carlos Vinicius

Vinicius has been starved of game time while on loan at Tottenham this season.

However, the departure of Kane would make him first choice if he were to stay.

Spurs have the option of signing the Brazilian, who has scored 10 goals this season, for around £36million.
