Football fans love the ‘entire Wolves team’ being filmed invested in Love Island

Footage of Wolverhampton Wanderers players and staff invested in dating show Love Island has gone viral.

Football fans are loving seeing the Wolves stars watching the show, with all eyes fixed on the television as they are filmed taking in Friday's episode of the hit ITV show. The footage was originally posted to Instagram by winger Daniel Podence, before later being shared on Twitter by supporters as fans reacted to the clip.

Podence wrote "@loveisland feat @wolves" as he filmed a group of players and staff crammed into a room to watch the show, with all seats taken and some even sat on massage tables.

Among the invested viewers are midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White and club captain Conor Coady. They were treated to an explosive episode on Friday, with a double dumping and the return of a fan favourite challenge.

Coco Lodge and Josh Le Grove were voted out of the villa by the public at the start of the episode before the show ended with the beginning of the movie night challenge.

After Podence's clip was posted to Twitter, fans were quick to express their love for the Wolves players' viewing party, with one writing: “Nah they’re all so invested.”

Another added: “Lmao rate them.” A third supporter also tweeted: “Honestly I wish I had a gang this big to watch Love Island with.”

One Liverpool fan even added: “Bet our squad is just like them.” Another Twitter user commented: “They look like they’re watching The Wire or something, eyes glued to the tele can’t miss stuff.”

Wolves are currently in Alicante, Spain for a pre-season training camp as they step up their preparations for next season. They are set to play three friendlies during the trip, beginning with a match against Alaves on Wednesday.

Bruno Lage's side will follow that with friendlies against Levante and Besiktas on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. After leaving Spain, Wolves are set to play a double header against Sporting and Farense in the Algarve on July 30 and 31.
