Manchester United have already had a productive transfer window, securing the mega-money signings of Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane. And with time ticking until the transfer window closes, United chiefs could be looking to get more deals over the line.

United began their Premier League season with a thumping 5-1 victory over Leeds United but dropped points on Sunday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Sancho appeared from the bench in both of those matches, while Varane is yet to make his United debut.

The centre-back was named on the bench for Sunday’s game, but didn’t get on the pitch on a frustrating day in the south.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may feel he needs further reinforcements and could allow a number of current players to move on before the window closes at the end of the month.

Express Sports takes a look at which players could join or leave United before the hotly-anticipated deadline.

Eduardo Camavinga

If United’s attacking forces have looked good this season, there are still question marks over the defensive side of their game.

While Varane will clearly boost the back four, Solskjaer will be keen to bring in a midfielder who can offer the backline added protection. Camavinga could be the man to take on that role.

The 18-year-old is seen as one of the biggest talents in European football and has already played 85 times for current club Rennes, despite not turning 19 until November.

With his contract set to expire next summer, Rennes are willing to let the Angola-born player leave for £30million this summer according to Fabrizio Romano.

But United face a battle with a string of other clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain apparently in the driving seat to sign the wonderkid.

Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier had a fine Euro 2020 with England this summer and has been rumoured to be on his way back to the Premier League.

A move for the 30-year-old would give United the flexibility of playing five at the back, with the Atletico Madrid defender more than capable of occupying a central position alongside Varane and Harry Maguire if required.

Trippier could also play in his more usual position at right-back and offer United a big threat down the channel, with his clear attacking ability, while he can fill in on the left if needed too.

United have only conceded twice this season but they look more exposed at the back than their Premier League rivals and Solskjaer is apparently keen to bring in another defender.

Trippier is thought to be interested in a move to Old Trafford but United are struggling to agree a price with his current club.

Jesse Lingard

One man who could be on his way out of Old Trafford is Jesse Lingard.

The forward enjoyed a successful loan spell at West Ham last season, where he racked up nine goals and five assists to help the Hammers qualify for the Europa League.

The 28-year-old had signalled his intentions to stay at Man Utd and fight for his place in the team but, after playing just four minutes of football in his side’s opening two Premier League games, he may be reassessing his desires.

West Ham are still keen to sign Lingard on a permanent basis and he could find himself at the London Stadium before the transfer window closes.

Anthony Martial

Another player who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford is Anthony Martial.

The forward was named in United’s starting line-up in a Premier League game for the first time since March for Sunday’s trip to Southampton.

But he looked sluggish and off the pace and was hauled off after just 58 minutes.

United have an embarrassment of riches in their attacking department and boss Solskjaer may now feel Martial is surplus to requirements.

Tottenham are apparently keen on the Frenchman, with Harry Kane’s future up in the air, and it would be no surprise to see Martial departing before the window closes next week.
