Frank Lampard is well aware he will be under increased scrutiny this season after Chelsea's extensive summer spending.
The Blues have forked out over £200million to recruit stars from across Europe including Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and – for £72million earlier this week – Kai Havertz.
They have also strengthened with the acquisitions of defenders Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr on free transfers – with the former likely to have been handed a lucrative contract.
Prior to the transfer window, Lampard enjoyed a successful first campaign in the Stamford Bridge hot seat in which he guided Chelsea to a top-four finish and the FA Cup final.
But in light of his summer splurge, the Blues boss knows his management will be under careful examination in the coming term.
"I'm very aware that a club like Chelsea, even though we had a transfer ban, even though the year was difficult, expectations are going to go up hugely," Lampard told the High Performance Podcast .
"And I just have to accept that as part of the job, and try and go about my job as well as I can.

"Because the tough times will come, and I'll rely on those, all of those little ones. And it might not be managing up, that might be managing the kit man or a member of staff around you.
"I've seen how the dominoes can fall very quickly. And I think if you isolate yourself as a manager, or you don't want to open yourself up to all of those relationships along the way, I think they fall much quicker."
Chelsea begin their season with a trip to Brighton next Monday evening.
