Fred makes prediction about his own game based on impact of Bruno Fernandes

Fred reckons he'll start to get on the scoresheet more often for Manchester United now he's playing alongside Bruno Fernandes.

Fred started slowly at United following his £52m move from Shakhter Donestk in 2018.

But this season the Brazilian midfielder has found his feet, and today he is one of the first names on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's teamsheet.

Fred has hailed the impact of January signing Fernandes on his game, and predicts he's going to get even more goals in the future before playing alongside the Portuguese brings out the creativity in him.

"I hope so as it's always important to score goals," Fred told the Man United website.

"I've been working on it and, with Bruno's arrival, we've got someone who gives us more freedom, given his quality with the ball at his feet.

"So I hope to attack and score more goals and work hard on my finishing to score more goals in a season. I'm certain that, with Bruno's arrival, more goals will come."

Fred's personal trainer Tulio Horta recently spoke out about the Brazilian's upturn in form, revealing the five areas he has improved.

Horta told the MEN: "I can say that the merit is entirely his. He has dedicated himself a lot to get where he is currently.

"We know that performance is something that is not easily achieved, commitment, effort and self-responsibility are necessary and Fred fulfilled all these factors very well together with the club, that does an excellent job with all the players.

"My contribution with Fred is to help him manage all the factors that influence performance – physical conditioning, sleep quality, nutrition, hydration and mindset.
