Fulham have agreed a deal with Sevilla for forward Lucas Ocampos but are waiting on the 29-year-old’s approval.
Marco Silva has been on the hunt for offensive reinforcements throughout this summer, having lost last season’s top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic to Al-Hilal earlier this month.
Ocampos comes with a proven pedigree of performing at the highest levels, having been consistent feature of Sevilla’s continental success in recent years.
The 29-year-old was named in the Europa League Squad of the Season after helping Sevilla to victory in the tournament during his maiden season at the club, before again enjoying Europa League success last season.
Ocampos spent a brief spell last season on loan at Ajax, but made just four appearances for the Eredivisie club before returning to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Meanwhile Silva’s side have also signed Timothy Castagne from Leicester for £15million.
The Belgium international joins the Cottagers in a four-year deal, with the club retaining the option for a fifth.
Tosin Adarabioyo could soon be on his way out of Craven Cottage as Monaco push to sign him.
The 25-year-old was not included in the squad for Fulham’s EFL Cup win over Tottenham, with the Ligue 1 side keen to sign the Man City academy graduate for £10m.
