Peter Bosz expects Kai Havertz will never train with Leverkusen again.
The Bayer boss says that he believes the forward is now set to leave the club amid his links to Chelsea.
Havertz missed Leverkusen's final round of fitness assessments' before starting pre-season over the weekend.
Chelsea are understood to be negotiating a deal for the highly-rated German playmaker worth around £90m.
And Havertz appears to be pushing for a switch to the Premier League himself, having taken matters into his own hands by going AWOL from sessions.
Bosz said: "I no longer expect Kevin Volland and Kai Havertz to train with us again.
"It's possible that other players will be on the move as well. In any case, we have to bring in some players, too."
Havertz, 21, attended on Friday and Saturday for two coronavirus tests to play for Germany, but was missing on Sunday.
Chelsea and Leverkusen are currently thrashing out the finer details, it has been previously reported.
The Blues want to keep the fee in the region of £70m, but Leverkusen want closer to £90m for one of their most prized possessions in Havertz.
It’s likely that the west London side will pay an initial fee around their valuation, but possible add-ons will see it rise.
Havertz would become the club’s record signing if he sealed a deal, taking Chelsea’s spending well over the £200m mark for the summer.
